I just got a new SF8008 combo yesterday from WOS - great service too. Overall its a great little box but I had a few issues. Most likely its drivers or the way drivers are handled. Firstly I'm not using a 4K telly - it will be a while before the telly and amp get upgraded but as there are not many 4k channels yet thats not so important. My main issues are with auto resolution and media playback. If I manually set the resolution to 1080i or 1080p then TV viewing is fine (including being able to view 4k channels) but media playback of avi/mpg etc will default to 720p no matter what resolution the content is in. If I enable Autoresolution TV viewing is fine Playback of avi/mpg files now displays as 1080i / p. I had to force deinterlace to get it working. 24Hz playback seems fine but I think 30Hz files are playing at 25Hz. SD 576i channels upscale to 1080p. Are there any other settings I'm missing or is that the state of the drivers at the moment?

Anyway I'm impressed with the speed of the box, the PQ is excellent compared with my solo2 which I was happy with. The sat tuner is good and picks up all the DVB-S2x and multistream that it should. DTS HD Master audio passes through correctly to the amp which is a big plus. Files with Dolby Atmos/True HD tracks had juddery video although the sound did downmix which I think is another first for an e2 box. The only audio tracks that I got silence on were LPCM. And multiboot works great too.

All in all a great little box for the price.

Edit: I should have said I'm using Openvix (of course)

Also blindscan using USALS is broken in the latest images - the dish goes to the wrong position. There was a fix with the 10th January drivers which worked fine on Vix 5.2.024 but there were new drivers on the 16th January which seem to have broken it again in build 025. Its not a fault with Vix but I thought I would point it out.
