    free memory after flashing v 5.2 .026

i finally got round to updating image on my old duo ,the addons were no longer available with old image .
after reflash and full setup ,the new image wouldnt allow backup wizard so i started from scratch .
i notice the flash/cache is now almost full ? shows flash total 101.1m free 16.3m
the last image version 3 had 50% free
so i removed any plugins other than cacheflush ,abm ,set up and run cacheflush, installed ext usb for epg , set up a swapfile ,i dont bother with picons
do the later images use or need more cache space?
i know its old but the wife knows how to drive it
    any ideas

VU+ Duo flash is just very small for todays modern images.

If you upgraded to a new machine it would still be wife friendly, OpenViX will be the same.

how about a duo 2 does that handle latest images ? does it have larger flash?
so i assume the 5 .2.026 image is not best suited to the old duo with its small flash memory?

Duo2 is now end of like.

If you'd like to stick with VU+ take a look at the VU+ Uno 4K SE, that has twin sat tuners too or the VU+ Duo 4K.

Note that if you use a softcam of any kind you'll need to switch to OScam.
