    General info on plugins

Not sure if this has been asked before. I can see a long list of plugins, which I could install, but have no clear idea what they are for, if I need them, how to set them up, etc. Is there some online reference source explaining what each plugin does?

Also, there are times where I would like to browse the Internet and point things to others in the room - is there a browser app for Mut@nt HD51 I could install?
    Kind regards,

    Mick

I don't think there is currently a browser plugin (i dont actually know) but im sure it would be possible. does anyone else know what it would take to port chromium to E2? in regards to the plugin feed it does need some time spending on it. including adding descriptions and removing no longer working plugins.

Chromium is a beast to build from source. It takes hours on my laptop.

There is the QtHbbTV plugin which can be launched on BBC (Freeview terrestrial receiver) only to advise that my device (Mut@nt HD51) is not suitable for iPlayer. I'm not sure how/if I can use this plugin to browse the Internet at large. I haven't found a way to enter URLs yet.

There is also the OpenOpera browser. This won't work (launch) with a red button long press while on BBC, but when I press the menu button I get a choice to enter a URL. The only problem is it just sits there, not opening google or whatever I happened to select. I tried different themes, in case the theme resolution interferes, but still nothing. So I have concluded neither QtHbbTV, nor OpenOpera will work with Mut@nt HD51. Is there anything else I could try?
    Kind regards,

    Mick
