Can I have two Vu+ Duo 2s in the same room as each other? Will the remote control control both boxes? If so, is there any way to link a remote to only 1 box? If not, is there a way to do what I want?

You can set the receiver/remote to use different remote channels. You won't get a clash then.

May I ask why you need two Duos in one room?

How do I do that?

1st box is recording TV
2nd box is recording BBC Radio 2 every 24 hours for history preservation.

Since the 2nd box is recording every 24 hours of BBC Radio 2 I obviously can't ever restart the 1st box for whatever reason so I have a 2nd box just for this.

One annoying this is that I can't set a timer to record from 00:00 to 00:00 as that just results in a timer set to record zero minutes. So I have to set a timer for 00:00-23:59. But that means I'll miss the last minute between 23.59-00:00. Is there any way to do a timer how I want?

Rather expensive option just for recording radio. You can buy cheaper receivers to achieve the recording of BBC2 radio.

Set a timer from 00:00 to 12:00 and another from 12:00 to 00:00.

Since I'm recording it 24/7 every day of the year I'm a bit worried that one day the channel will have changed channel numbers and it will record the wrong channel like what happens with TV channels occasionally throughout the year.

Is there any need to use AutoBouquetsMaker or should I just add my repeated timer on the channel in the Providers > BSkyB list of channels?

Recordings are done by service id, not channel number.

Service references of radio channels change too.

Sometimes service reference is given to another service immediately. You will record different service to what you expected.

Sometimes, the service reference is not used. You will get no recording in this case.

You will have to update the timer whenever the reference changes. It does not matter if you scan or use a plugin.

Terrestrial services have fewer changes than satellite.
