    GT-Sat GT-dLNB1DY and tuner configuration

Below is a guide for configuring the GT-sat Unicable LNB with FBC tuners with only one wire and no splitters
ABM and CrossEPG require sole control of a Tuner, so you will get blackouts while they run.
(Unless you set the preferred tuner to be the one that does not have the signal wire. I.e the Tuner with the signal wire hooked up to it will remain unused.)

    Notes:
As a reminder, FBC tuners and Unicable are two separate technologies.
You can use Unicable LNBs with non-FBC tuners. Eg Dreambox 500, Vu Solo 2, Technomate Nano 3T Combo, Zgemma H2.
You can use an FBC tuner with universal (normal) LNBs.
FBC with unicable offers more than FBC with universal.

Connected question. This is asking if you are getting signal through another tuner.

If there is wire hooked up to the tuner you are setting/configuring (via splitter or direct from switch/lnb), you are not not going through another tuner , so say no.
If the tuner is getting a signal through another tuner, say yes.

    Note:
All FBC tuners are internally linked. Some tuners are internally linked. So you can choose different user bands even though only one signal wire is hooked up to the receiver.

For this guide, the setup is a unicable LNB with a single signal/co-axial wire hooked up to Tuner A. Ensure you attach the signal/coaxial wire to the correct tuner.
You can use tuner B if you wish, it does not matter which you use. Just make sure you select the right one

    Physical setup/wiring is as pictured.

    Note:
Every tuner on all devices connected to the LNB must have a separate user band number. Even if on a different receiver.
The above has used user band/channel/ numbers starting from 1. If you have more than one receiver, start at 9. If you run out of user bands, select FBC automatic for some tuners, this will be an enhanced loop through mode.

GT-Sat GT-dLNB1DY and non-FBC tuner configuration with splitter

Below is a guide for configuring the GT-sat Unicable LNB with standard/non-fbc tuners. Splitter is used to provide all tuners with signal

Some tuners are internally linked. All FBC tuners are internally linked.

If the tuner is getting a signal through another tuner, say yes

The setup is a unicable LNB supplying more than one receiver with the use of splitters. This post is specific to non-FBC tuners. As user bands 1-8 are in use with one receiver, 9-16 with another, we will be starting from 17.

    Setup is as pictured:

    GT-Sat GT-dLNB1DY and non-FBC tuner. Internal connection

Receivers with BCM 7356 such as Vu Solo 2, Technomate Nano 2 super/3T combo, Gigablue quad plus have internally connected tuners. The condition to use this on these receivers is that the signal wire must be attached/hooked up to tuner B, not Tuner A. Once again, if you want to use internal connection on 7356 SOC receivers, do not hook up signal wire to Tuner A. This applies to both Unicable as well as Universal LNBs for internal loop through.

It is better for you to get a splitter and use it for both tuners. However the facility is there, so documenting it for those who need it.

Picture of setup is as below.
    unicable multi tuner_one hookup.jpg

As signal wire is attached to Tuner B, let's do that first.

    Note:
If you are using any other tuner with internal connection, process is the same. Just make sure you connect to the correct tuner. As an example a twin tuner card on the Duo 2 is internally connected.
