What can be received for free?

I have an old 60 cm offset parabolic dish antenna with a 10.95-11.7 GHz LNB and an Amstrad SRD600E receiver. I'm considering hooking it up to see what I can find. But are the any transmissions that are not scrambled/encoded - at all? Is it possible to see anything without paying?
