Device names /media/hdd and /media/usb muddled up

My Mut@nt HD51 has a fixed disk drive and a USB stick plugged into the USB 3.0 port.

Sometimes when the HD51 boots /media/hdd is the USB stick and /media/usb is the hard drive. This problem happens both when I am running Vix and when I am running openATV.

To solve the problem, I have to remove the USB stick, reboot the box and then plug the stick back in.

Is there a changed that I could make to stop this problem happening?

If you go into the Vix Device Manager (I think) you can configure which device you want mounted where. This will then persist over reboots.

The issue is caused by which device responds first when then I/O buses are queried at the start (which happens in parallel).

Thanks, its Vix/Mount manager. I did use it to try to allocate the devices correctly and it has added a couple of UUID entries to fstab. I hope they solve my problem! It is a bit of a random problem. I once had two /media/hdd!

I might copy the changes to the fstab in openATV and openPLI.
