UniCable with Sky Plus HD aAnd Humax HDR1000S

    Hi Guys,

I'm really excited at the possibility of getting an Enigma 2 machine in the future (I'll be asking Mrs Santa).

For now, I'd like to tidy up the satellite cabling (keeping Mrs Santa happy).

Can I use one of those new fangled UniCable LNBs with my existing equipment, (Sky Plus HD and Humax HDR1000S) and do I need a new dish?

    Regards,

    Paul

    Hi twol,

All I have is a standard Sky 60cm offset dish, but I changed the LNB to a "Sky type" four output.

If you are using a Sky minidish there is an attachment to convert to 40mm collar which is what the Unicable LNBs use.

Sky plus HD box and Humax are both supposed to be Unicable compatible but you really need someone to confirm that has used this in practice.
