Buy Octagon at your peril, As an owner of the SF4008 i am allowed to state this.

I personally would never touch another Octagon product ever again, Ask any one on this board
Who has had reason to contact this manufacturer and they will explain why.

You could say this about most Brands at some stage (even Vu+ and GigaBlue where the air was “blue“ for some time) but they in general learned from past mistakes.
With Octagon and the SF4008, I would freely admit the results didn‘t match promises, but so far the SF8008 delivery has been excellent, with very fast turn around on fixing issues..... so I will test it without any historical hang ups, just like with my Giga4K‘s.

There is a model apparently for non-European markets thats has only 1 sat tuner

Cost -> hence spec, aimed at specific market ... and from the number of hiSilicon models with similar specs hitting the market - they obviously expect this to be profitable.

Yes there will be an OpenViX image, waiting for sample to test image that has already been built.

Testing OpenViX dev image at the moment, this is a proper nice fast box. Kodi is well fast, just like on a decent android box.

Kodi starts faster on this box than many Android devices.
