CrossEPG black screen while fetching EPG

    Hi all,
I've just flashed my vu+duo with openvix 5.1.032 and all is fine until I come to run the epg. Since I've flashed it and I run the epg the screen goes black and the TV picture does not return until the epg has finished running. Previous image version allowed continued viewing while updating. Is this a image glitch or a setting I need to change?

    Thanks,

Do both tuners have signal wires connected?
    Are both tuners configured correctly?
Are both tuners free when CrossEPG runs?

If i run it on a single feed i would expect it to take over your picture until epg finished,Does signal finder have a signal on both tuners as my old duo had twin feeds but no signal on 1 tuner re bad connection.

Same questions for his box too.

Also, CrossEPG downloader obtains EPG by more than one method. What EPG sources are you importing?

Ok will check the tuners but when the epg runs its pulling the 900 odd channels so I dont think its the tuners. Had a tuner issue in the past and usually pulls 500 odd when a tuner goes t*ts up.
Using open tv providers for epg

It is a case of free tuners. Key word being free. If there is no free tuner, it will take over a tuner resulting in a black screen. It will not interrupt a recording.

If he was not able to receive the frequency, it would have failed.

Just checking for signal reception does not go far enough. You have to check you can receive the frequency CrossEPG uses. On all tuners that have been configured for 28.2.

But that is not the problem. Tuners are not configured correctly or does not have enough/free configured tuners at time of execution.

Nothing to do with a rescan of tuners. You need to check your tuners are properly configured and make sure all the wires are securely connected from dish to skybox.
