    Switching from TV to Radio

I was expecting to be able to do this by using the TV/Radio button on the remote but this is not happening.

Can someone tell me how to switch between TV stations to Radio Stations.

If using ABM (AutoBouquetsMaker) then you should have TV & Radio Channels.

I can access the radio channels by doing a search for a particular radio station, but I am unable to 'pull up' the list of radio stations (replacing the TV channels).

The radio stations do not appear anywhere in the list of TV channels.

I’ve pressed the Radio button (bottom right on my Vu+ remote) and that brings up my Radio channels.

Not sure how you have created your Channels so can’t help any further until you do so.

I used the ABM on both tuners as far as I know and as it was scanning it was listing radio stations as well as TV channes.

I will have a bit more time at the weekend to play about with the STB.

So pressing the TV/RADIO button doesn’t flick between the TV Channels & Radio Channels?

I presume you are doing this while watching TV. Doing this as in pressing the TV/RADIO button while viewing BBC 1 HD for instance?

I've never understood the need for this. The service descriptor knows whether it is TV or radio, so why do you need to switch between two modes using a remote?
I have all of my Radio services in the TV bouquets and I just switch to the bouquet that has the Radio channels (or, far more likely, just press the channel number). I also have exactly the same set of bouquets under the Radio bouquet - that works too.

[I don't use ABM, so don't know whether you can achieve this there.]

    Hi birdman,
    2 reasons:
    1. elder people know TV and Radio but not a combination:-)
    2. when you use a more advanced remote like the Harmony you can create 2 activities and in only 1 is the TV active.

When you put your STB into standby it remains on the channel you were last viewing/listening to. If you dont have a TV licence and you have a visit from TVL and they switch your TV on then they can accuse you of watching TV without a licence. Of course, you are allowed to listen to radio, watch on demand and catchup.

Yes, if I press the TV/RADIO button the screen shows the TV channels on the left in groups format. If I scroll to the bottom of the list there is an entry Last Scanned - if I open that up and scroll down that list, the radio stations are shown and I can select one and it opens up in the PIP window on the right and plays the radio station.

If I then use the Exit button, it then returns to the previous TV show that I was watching.

QUESTION: What does your STB do when you use the TV/RADIO button, select a radio station and play the station, then use the Exit button?

When I press the Radio button I am presented with all my available Radio channels and I just scroll through to the one I want to listen.

If in the UK try checking the rules on that!

    Code:
    http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/about/foi-legal-framework-AB16
A visit to your premises is not required to establish watching on demand and catchup.

So, does what you have said mean that the Vix installation for my Alpha+ Plus isn't working correctly and if so, how can I get it fixed?

A TV licence is for owning a capable device, not the use of a capable device.

So they'll have an issue with any Freeview TV, as that just has one list.
