DLNA sever via usb hard drive

Hi all, one of the best feature of my ET9500 with openvix is it ability to act as a server of the media on the box. This lets me watch any thing on I've recorded in any of my smart tv around the house. Is it possible to do the same thing with media stored on any external usb drive the is connected to the box. Thanks
