    Combining Sky EPG with Saorsat

    Hello,

    My parents have got a dual dish system which has two Freesat and Saorsat feeds into a Mutant HD51 with (S2X tuners) via a multiswitch.
    In their other room they have SkyQ. As they are elderly they are getting confused about both setups.

    SkyQ has some Saorsat channels (RTE, RTE2 and TG4) at channels 161, 162 and 163 respectively. These would be the primary channels that they would watch. What I would like to do is to set up a Sky EPG and swap out the blocked Irish channels on the Sky EPG for the RTE channels on the Saorsat bouquet.

    The overall aim is to replicate the SkyQ channel list as closely as possible. I've got the Sky bouquet set up at present using ABM. What I need to (I think) is to add RTE1 to channel 161 on the SkyEPG, RTE2 to channel 162 on the Sky EPG, etc...

    How can this be done? I would have thought that someone would have previously done it, but I'm not sure how to go about this.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    What ABM provider options are you using? Attaching your debug log is best to avoid the questions. If you use IPTV, check your log before you upload it.
    Please also attach your EXAMPLE files from the /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/custom folder

    It is possible to achieve what you want. Advice will depend on your ABM options. You can use a mix file or favourites file.

    I'm using OE-Alliance AutoBouquetsMaker 3.1 (c) 2012.

    Can I access the EXAMPLE file from the web interface for HD51? Going to try and find a USB cable to directly link into the unit.

    I've opened DreamBoxEdit and obtained a new satellites.xml file.

    I cannot find the EXAMPLE file.

    Use an FTP program. I have mentioned location already.

    Please read the sticky thread about requirements for ABM threads. We will be able to view the settings for ABM that you are using.

    Now that Iv'e seen these files, they are not as I expected - especially the Saorsat which should only have about 8 channels.

    I really don't need the Saorsat bouquet. Primarily, what I want to do is to add the eight Saorsat channels to the Sky NI bouquet so tha the channel numbers line up with the Sky Q format for the users.
    i.e.
    BBC1 = 101
    ITV = 103
    C4 = 104
    RTE1 = 161
    RTE2 = 162
    etc...

    Has anybody got an official channel list? That provider needs a bit of work

    Is this box looped through another receiver?

    That Saorsat example file corresponds to doing a Sky scan with the protocol set to LCN. In my opinion the box must somehow be looped to a sky orientated LNB, not the Saorsat LNB. Could be something in tuner config. Or the feeds/multiswitch are wired completely wrong.

    No, single receiver. Dual feed from multiswitch into each Sat In connection. The multiswitch is correct - pretty simple setup. I've set the preferred tuner to both A and B and was able to view both Saorsat and Freesat channels - so the multiswitch is working and sending down the correct signals to the box.

    When I was setting up the tuners, Tuner A was set to 9.0E - I had to manually setup the Saorsat transponder as it was not listed. Tuner B is set to be same as Tuner A.

    Saorsat is really only 5 - 8 channels so I was not really sure that its list was worth working on.

    Is there a config file that I could upload for you?
