    Hi all, looking to move from my xtrend ET9500 to a Mutant HD51. Just a few questions

    1: is a s2x tuner backwards compatible with feed from UK sky dish pre sky Q.
    2: want to try ipab image along side openvix, is multi boot working with these two images.

    Thanks

    1/ It is absolutely fine to use a S2X tuner with your traditional Sky setup.
    2/ Multiboot is working absolutely fine on ViX and you will be able to install iPab, why an earth you want to is beyond me, but I’m guessing its because its a ready made image with nothing to setup (Lazy Boy!!). iPad is a very bloated image with a lot of crap installed on it.

    @Stuckagain.....
    So do you mean the multiboot plugin or the in built multiboot capability which came (first) with the HD51??
    If the latter, I have never looked at the IPAB image so don‘t know what its based on .... the multiboot software for the HD51 is built now into most images, but with IPAB the question is does it include the multiboot software??
    You might ask them 1st!
    Personally I totally agree with Andy on Ipab.... much better to learn how to do things yourself.

    So Ipab is basically an OpenATV 6.1 clone (how the guy can ask for donations is beyond me), with a special skin and other peoples add ons.... so Yes it supports the hd51 multiboot feature via the OpenATV image that probably forms 98% of the "ipab" image.

    Thanks both for your advice. I can see not a fan of Ipab here, it's mainly so I can record IPTV with a simple user interface. Don't get me wrong I've been using Vix for years and think it's great. twol, yes i would have to ask Ipab forum about multiboot for there image. But do you use it for images you like and it so which method and how.
