Question client mode query on tm nano

Main box et10000 has a tuner set to 28.2 other tuner is on a diseqc switch with 28.2,13,and motorized feed [ no control of motor ]
control of motor is by solo2.

I can get client mode to run on tm nano with 28.2 but not with the diseqc switch feeds,is that a no go then?

A client receiver can receive from tuners that are correctly configured on the host receiver. Provided it is free.

It is best to use the image support section for image issues as problems/solutions are usually the same irrespective of receiver. It also helps others searching for the same issue although they may have another receiver.

Please read the thread in link below which explains things better.

No harm has been done, no need to apologise. Please bear in mind for future support questions.

Thinking now its not related to image as in not a support issue as boxes have been reflashed and setup again and no client working from my diseqc feed which includes 13,19.2,28.2 and i have a feed from motor depending on where solo2 left it.
Changed ip of client to solo2 which has motor control and 28.2 and it works.

client mode query on tm nano

Your problem is your tuners are set up for hit and miss.

Might have thought as changing sat on the tm and a reboot might have kicked in one sat to work,i understood on a diseqc that the others would work as i have 2 fixed live feeds from sat?
Tuner B only has 4 feeds on a diseqc to it.

client mode query on tm nano

The way it works is as follows:

Client contacts host and asks for a stream. If Host has a free tuner, it works. If Host does not have a free tuner, it does not. There is no feedback or notification of failure.

Just to avoid confusion, if one satellite on a diseqc switch is in use, the others will not be available.

Draw a diagram of your complete hardware setup so that it is easy to see what you have. Going by your posts, you have several receivers connected. It should be possible for you to set them up properly.

    et10000 fixed tuner A 28.2
Tuner B on diseqc with feeds from 13,19.2,28.2 + motorised feed from dish. ------client mode on tm nano only works on 28.2 thinking fixed tuner only and not diseqc switch.
et10000 is not doing anything as in standby and no timers in use.

For testing purpose i changed my client box to solo2 and the tm works on that and can change to another sat and that works.

I only ever had the tm nano running client from the et10000 but was with with fixed feeds and no diseqc until i needed more feeds.

Other receivers on network have sat feeds and samba enabled for access to recordings only ,hope that might clear things up.

I wondered if others got client mode to work with diseqc feed?

Can you fully utilise tuner B on the ET 10K?

Post screenshots of it working please.

Can you run this command on your ET10K and attach the file that is created in /tmp

    Code:
    cat /etc/enigma2/settings | grep config.Nims > /tmp/cactikidtunerconfig.txt
    EDIT:
Please paste the command to avoid typing errors.

Sorry not got around to doing as you said above but notice when box is powered on from standby no free tuner message on 13 or 19.2 comes up and all greyed out.Restarting gui brings back both feeds on 13 and 19.2 and that possibly why my client did not work.I have another sat tuner coming in a week.

Trying to find the point of failure.

Copy and paste is preferred method of most people. The world would be boring if we were all the same.

You must have typed it incorrectly. Please paste it instead.

    Note:
It is a good practice to paste the output of errors, others can spot mistakes and help if applicable

Can you please confirm if you have plugins like V-hannibal settings. Sorry to ask if already answered.
Do you use Dreamboxedit and get errors about xml files?
