Wifi will never be perfect even with “good” fibre.

My experience is that the Realtek RTL8192EU works well and is cheap and easy to obtain. I assume the Realtek RTL8192CU would work the same, but it's not so easy to obtain at a good price.

    I also have Realtek r8188eu, but the RTL8192EU definitely out-performs the r8188eu.

One caution with the RTL8192EU is that the drivers are not in the base ViX images, so you have to be careful when doing image updates. You don't have this problem with the RTL8192CU & the r8188eu.
