Software update (Downloading Package list update) taking an age!

As title indicates when selecting a Software Update it is taking ages to bring up contents of Package List Update, approx 5 minutes.
The actual update itself also takes about 15 minutes to install and reboot. It is not an ISP issue as my download speed is >30Mbps
Even doing a small incremental update from 5.1.026 to .027 takes an age !

Anyone have an idea why? Thanks
