    unicable setup question

    Hi, at the moment i got 1 dish with 4 twin LNB's pointed to 13E 19.2E 23.5E and 28E.
2 cables from each LNB go to 2 diseqc switches and from each diseqc switch, 1 cable is going to Tuner 1 FBC and other cable going to Tuner 2 FBC of my VU+ Ultimo 4k.

I want all this setup change to FBC material, what do i need to get the full profit of FBC?
And second question, what is this gonna cost ? the dish is about 15m away from the VU+

    thnx.

    unicable setup question

Which tuner cards do you have? How many tuner cards do you have in total?

An FBC tuner card has two physical connections. It is still one card.

Do you have any spare Vu tuner cards from older receivers?

There are several ways to do this...

I am presuming your main viewing is 28.2

One way (cheapest) is to replace the 28.2 LNB with a unicable one. Connect that directly (i.e no diseqc switch) to one input of your FBC tuner card. Set most of the tuners to 28.2.

The remaining three satellites will remain on a switch and connected to the other tuner connection. You can set one of the "leaf tuners" as FBC automatic to enable loop-though to the satellite/quadrant that is tuned to. More versatile.

    Another way
    1 x unicable LNB
    Additional FBC Tuner card
    Two more cables
The three sats connected direct to FBC inputs so they are independent

Another way is to buy 4 x unicable LNBs and another FBC tuner card. Run two additional cables to the receiver. All 4 satellites will be available and independent

If you don't want the extra cabling, there is a way to program the unicable LNBs and use a splitter. Sorry don't know too much about this

    Rough prices..
    FBC Tuner card £70
Unicable LNB less than £40 each

Lets say i go for the 4 x unicable LNB option and another FBC tuner card, so i connect each satellite to each input of the fbc tuners. Don't i need 4 special cables also ?
