Setting up a timer for ... playback only

    Hi All,

I'm not sure if this functionality is available, or how to set it up:

Sometimes I'd like to set up a timer to allow me to switch automatically to a different channel when a program starts in real time. In other words, set up a timer for a program on channel 2, while I keep watching channel 1 until the chosen program on channel 2 starts. Then the timer switches to channel 2 for me to watch the desired program, but without any recording involved in the process - I hope I've explained this adequately.

Does such a thing exist on Enigma2/OpenVix?
    Kind regards,

    Mick

Just highlight the programme you want to switch to in the epg and long press the record button.
A blue 'Z' will appear for 'zap timer'.
This will just zap to that channel rather than recording it.

And, if you accidently set it for record you can still edit the timer for 'record' or 'zap' or 'zap and record'.

Menu -> Timers -> Timers -> Highlight the timer and press OK to edit -> change timer type -> press green to save your changes.

    OR

In the EPG highlight the program with the timer already allocated and press the record button, then select edit ......
