i have installed vpn manager on my duo2 running vix 5.4.13 and can see the list of servers there when i open it.

i have a pia account

in the menu i have set:

all config in one folder - yes
save directory config - /hdd/PIA_VPN2/
save config directory - yes
default dns1 - 8.8.8.8
openvpn autostart - no
openvpn resolver - no
set optional dns - no
username - ******(correct socks5)
password - ****** (correct socks5)

i ca see the PIA_VPN2 config files in /media/hdd

in etc/openvpn i have:

ca.rsa.2048.crt
crl.rsa.2048.pem
france.conf
openvpn.log
openvpn.stat
pass.file
update-resolv-conf

the username and password in the pass.file are definitely correct

when i press green to start on any server i get the error:

login error. AUTH_FAILED

i must me doing something simple wrong - or stupid lol

I'm not sure. Double check no space is left after Username and password.

tried that and there no spaces
i also tried replacing the config files in /hdd/PIA_VPN2/ with a different set from the pia download section but still getting the same message

I don't have access to a pia account to test to see if anything has changed.

sorry but i was trying that as well

in vpn conf importer i set import credentials to yes
set socks username and password to the same
select pia as provider

when i press blue to save enigma2 crashes

Is this the same for every server you have tried try copying pass.file to configs folder i,e, /hdd/PIA_VPN2

Are you trying to use both OpenVPN and SOCKS5?

Hello guys. I have been trying for months now to get my VPN on my Vu Ultimo 4k using latest Blackhole image. I`ve been on all the sat sites and tried various methods to get this working. Nothing works. I have tried for weeks to get dsayers method to work. Just isn`t happening. Can anyone confirm that PIA vpn is still working using dsayers method? I have even contacted PIA for help but they say they don`t support Enigma2. I even tried installing wooshbuild with the easily add vpn plugin. You guessed it, no joy there either. This really is beginning to depress me.

I don't have access to pia but they may have changed there config files. What image are you using?

I'm using PIA with VPN Manager 1.1.7 on ViX 6.0 with no problems. No idea about Blackhole I'm afraid.
