UK Cable: A few HD channels not working

    Hi

Has anybody got any problems with BT sports HD 2 and a few sky sports channels. This is on cable btw?
I am getting no picture on them, just want to know if anyone else has experienced any issues?

    Thanks

    Do a rescan.

If that doesn't fix it, you are straying into topics that can't be discussed.

I think the BT Sports issue is just a frequency issue maybe delete bouquets then rescan ABM.

For other sports it maybe related to the careless box upgrade but it seems to be netid area dependent at the moment.

I did do a rescan. BT sports 3 works. But Sky sports action also gives me that same image and no picture.

The issue is one several forums. Virgin are migrating people onto cardless boxes. Those who refuse to upgrade box will lose the HD sports channels.

So a freq re-scan would not help?

Is there a link you can give me that explains what is happening ?

    Thanks

I don't know if this may be significant...

"Virgin Media HD TV channels are finally being migrated from the old MPEG2 to newer MPEG4 (H.264) video standard."

    It was reported last week.

Do a full cable rescan and you will get all channels back, including all of BT Sport.

If you don't get the BT Sport channels back then you are not doing a full scan.

If that is the case, I suggest that you describe exactly how you are doing your cable scan so that I can advise how to do a full open source (non-area specific) scan.

A full open source scan might be needed to get the BT channels in your area.

    Hi Timofee

If you can explain how you go about doing a full scan, that would be great. Thanks
