Edision Mini OS+ USB Flash advice.

    Good afternoon all.

I'm looking to flash the lastest Openvix image onto the above mentioned receiver to overcome the no audio and narration only audio that has been a recent issue with many receivers and which was affecting quite a large number of channels.

I set the box up some time ago for my daughter and son-in-law and whilst visiting over the holidays they have brought the receiver with them for me to update to remedy the aforementioned problem.

My question is, can I update the image via USB and still keep all of the settings (You know what I mean) and plug-ins that were already installed on the receiver previously without having to use Filezilla to go into the keys folder etc.
Any help / advice would be much appreciated.

    Regards, The Soulman.

There are four process you need to do.

    1. Create a settings backup
    2. Flash an image (It does not matter whether you use image manager or USB flash drive)
    3. Restore settings
    4. Restore plugins

Using Image Manager to flash is far easier that USB

3 & 4 will not be possible if image is current image older than 4.2
