    Kodi default media player

Ive been playing about with my new OS Mega box for a few weeks and this forum has been a wealth of knowledge and now have it set up pretty good, however there is one issue I haven't been able to resolve.

I am running the latest Vix with Slyk HD skin (also tried Openatv), and the media player in Kodi seems very buggy. If I try to pause/rewind/fast forward it just crashes the stream, and you have to exit the player and choose the stream again.

Is there a way to change the default player to something else? I looked in Kodi using the menu when over a video and there is the 'Play Using' option and this is set to E2Player as default. I tried selecting VideoPlayer but it was the same?

    Any ideas

    Thanks

I think you're stuck with the in-built media player with all its limitations. Kodi really only works well on a dedicated box. The E2 implementation is at best a compromise.

Ok thanks Tony. I'm new to all this Enigma stuff, and wondered if there was a way to customise it like an Andriod box.

To be fair, it is useable and I'm more than willing to sacrifice those limitations and have it all on one box.

So far really happy with my Mega.

    Cheers

Yep - I use Kodi on a cheap chinese media player - got rid of Android and run a libreelec build and it handles all sound formats and video up to UHD quality. I don't really use Kodi on my mut@nt HD51 except to test it from time to time.
