    Power timer not working

    Hello all
    Advice needed please
    I’m running vix 5.0.027
When I set a power timer

I can’t get it to work, when I look at the box in the morning it’s just in standby not deep standby, any ideas?

There is a bug in the code. See all of the thread

But repeated timers were still working for some of us.

Do you have any other repeat power timers - one to put the box into standby for instance?

Were you viewing a box in chase play (delayed time-shift) when you left it.

If you go to the power timer menu and highlight the timer that didn't work and then press the info button on the remote you should get the log file for that timer which may explain why it didn't trigger.

By the way, the last line of the timer "After Event" can be left as "do nothing" .

Hi adm thanks for your reply, before I put my box into standby last nite I was just watching normal tv, the log isn’t clear so I’ve deleted it and will post tomorrow if it fails again tonight, I do have a timer that brings the box from deep standby to normal standby that functions correctly

Do you have another Power Timer that wakes the box up after 02:00?

In which case there would need to be something else putting it into standby.

But yes, since this timer runs at a specific time it will most likely be missed by that above bug.

That's a different mechanism. A wake-up is achieved by programming the front-panel with the wake-up time as the box shuts down.

I was wondering why two reports about this arrive within a few days of each other.

Turns out that the bug was introduced by
    Code:
    https://github.com/OpenViX/enigma2/commit/d54f4d0e1011bb9df2daaf130fa030c55aac217a#diff-4f6278cf82b944bcd4cc4693b655509d
    in August.

    The
    Code:
          if w < min:
                  min = w
lines were chopped in the merge from OpenPLi.

will this be fixed anytime soon?
