    Xtrend Et10k- 2nd Network Disappear

Hi Everyone, I have a Et10k xTrend with image “openvix-5.0.025.release-et10000_usb”. It has 2 lan input and was setup during a new flashing. After setting up all the necessary setup in menu, I found the 2nd lan network just disappear and could not do any reinstall. So got no other choice but to reflash the image again and successfully installed the 2 lan network. Very disappointedly, it disappear again. Please tell me how to reinstall it? Thanks very much

Why do you need 2 networks?
As far as I remember of my ET10000, you can configure and use only one LAN connection at a time ...

Hi Twol, thanks for the quick reply.
Since it come with 2 lan input, I feel it should right to make both works. Furthermore, I had bought a switch to serve this.

I actually used to have LAN cables into both ports otherwise when I couch flashed without a settings restore and went through the startup wizard, I would get issues with the network not connecting ... but thats quite some time ago

agreed it is put in there to annoy us and you have to know which one is been fed by cable and then setup that port to enable a connection.

    I don't think so
As much as I think that in general, Xtrend had some great products & ideas, this one was very much a "wouldn't it be great if ..." without thinking it through.

VU+ Ultimo 4K does, but only with VTi image. Not with ViX.

It records ok on my ET10k, although I only went thru' the exercise of getting it working, I've never actually needed to use it.

I think with timer function it works. But Ultimo 4K works ok without timer if you use VTi image.
