    Use VU+ Remote to power Sony TV ON/OFF??

    Can my VU+ Remote be programmed to switch my Sony TV ON/OFF?
    or do I need a Plug-In?

    Any help welcome

    Hi,
    with the exception of the first Solos/Duos all VU reemotes are universal one. RTFM for programming the remote.

    If your tv supports HDMI CEC then you can set your receiver to power the tv on/off each time your take your receiver in and out of standy.

    if thats your desired result or you cant program the remote of course.

    not all functions work on certain TVs. example. my jvc can be switched of. but not on by Vu remote. may have to try thr CRC HDMI when I can be bothered
