Exclamation XTrend ET9500 not starting up

    Hi,

I have just come off holiday and my ET9500 won't start up. When I power on I can hear the hard disc start and the blue light flashes about 5 times then nothing.

    Can anyone help please .......

Had a look around and found the issue with the PSU.
If you check the capacitors the will have blown.
I found two that were faulty.1.jpg2.jpg
Got them both from eBay for a couple of quid.
    Hope this helps

Look at it - the end will be bulging. Or you could post a close-up photo of the psu if not sure

OK I'll definitely post a close up picture. I have a good camera phone. Just hope it doesn't reduce the quality when I upload it

By the way don't stick your fingers in if you are not sure what you are doing - capacitors will hold charge even with the power off.

Hum.. My ET9500 also died.. only Flashing the blue led, and able to draw somepower from the usb ports..
So after searching around i took a look on the PSU board..
but the caps seems to be "ok" as in.. there not bulging. i know, no warranty that there actually good..

so lets order some new caps :-)
