    plugin removal

i recently installed a plugin (for iptv viewing) by downloading an ipk file, ftp'd to tmp, install local ext.
    i am using vix 5.0.013
i cant remove the plugin now using the conventional method as it doesn't appear in the installed plugin menu, so i want to remove it manually with filezilla.
i tried it once yesterday, navigated to the plugins folder and deleted it.
when i install the plugin again it seems to remember i have used it before, so i guess there are maybe some other files related to the plugin that need removing.
anyone know what these files may be and where to locate them?

Re-read your post. Not even a plugin name. How do you expect anyone to respond to it?

Plugins are stored in /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins That directory is split into Extensions and SystemPlugins. The mysterious plugin will have its own folder. Delete the plugin folder, nothing more.

If the plugin saved to a directory on HDD, delete that directory too.

If the plugin wrote to the settings file, stop Enigma2, then delete the lines relating to the plugin.

thanks, i would have put the plugin name but cant remember exactly what it was, something like xtream or xstream or even xstreme
i did find a folder of that name(s) and deleted it but must have missed something because i get the problem explained above.
now i know the directories to look into i may find something else.
    thanks for your help.

Do you mind if I move your thread to plugin support instead of plugin downloads?

Have a Google for enigma2 talnet commands you'll find one to list plugins then you should be able to use opkg uninstall plugin name. Sorry can't be more specific as I'm at work so I can't check
