    Question HDMI In recording

What are your experiences regarding recording HDMI Input on the Ultimo 4K? When recording I do get some picture but mostly green blocks and artifacts. Is this HDCP copy protection? I thought there would be no picture at all if that was the case. Have tried from Apple TV and Raspberry Pi no problem with HDMI in picture, only recordings has the issue.

    I am using openvix-5.0.013

Just tried the VTI image and recording works there. But I prefer OpenVix. Could it be different drivers?

If you don't get another response then try this:-
Try OpenATV. If that doesn't work then it's differences between the OE-A images and VTI
If OpenATV works then it's a ViX issue.

I guess HDCP depends on the source .......... had to stick one of these hdmi switch boxes between source and receiver (ET10000) to get that to work.

Same with ATV and splitter won`t help.

Recording with VTi image seems to be ok. Does not need splitter.

    I don't know about resolution.

There are two methods of recoding that I can remember of.

Blue > Activate PIP in HDMI mode ( something along those lines) > Record

Create an entry in a bouquet file using text editor. Stop Enigma2 with "init 4" before transferring

    P.S
Dont modify an ABM bouquet as it will be removed next time ABM runs

There have changes that improve this on VU receivers. Unfortunately no sound, but picture is fine. I tested a Duo 4K. Will be in 5.4 004
