    Configuring CrossEPG for Freeview

    Hi All,

Does CrossEpg work with Dvb-T channels , i.e. Freeview?

    I have an OSMega configured as 2 dvb-s and 1 Dvb-T.
The EPG populates the satellite channels without a problem but the Freeview EPG is totally blank.

I tried to use EPGInporter but although the EPG fills up, upon a reboot it loses all the data.

    Any ideas please?

    Configuring CrossEPG for Freeview

As soon as you tune to a Freeview channel, the EPG data will be absorbed.

CrossEPG downloader, (signal wire aspect), does not import Terrestrial EPG.

Hi Danlou, What I do is a manual scan of tuner C which will give you a bouquet named last scan which I rename to Terrestrial. Once you have selected a couple for the freesat channels the listings for the channels will auto fill the epg

Have you set EPG importer to clear before importing?

Does debug log say anything about corrupt EPG?

The "last scanned" bouquet is a system bouquet. Please don't rename it. Create your own Bouquet.

Freesat and Freeview are different by the way.

If there is no EPG data, you won't be able to see it. I asked questions to find out the cause of your problems, so that a solution can be found. Your answers should clear things up.

You can set EPG refresh plugin to perform background zaps to keep the EPG data updated.

Yes I do know Freesat & Freeview are different but I can't edit what I wrote. My third tuner has a terrestrial coax connected to it for freeview and what I have done works for me.

Set EPG refresh to tune to a freeview channel and make a fake recording everyday for about 5 -10 mins, I set this to run just after opentv runs early in the morning.
