    OpenWebif Terminal Plugin

    Hi,

I am trying to install OpenWebif plugins from the feed. All these install correctly apart from OpenWebif Terminal. It seems to get stuck at the end of the installation process.

Has anyone else got this issue?

Is there "shellinabox" on the OpenViX feed?
    Openwebif-terminal requires it to work.

It's not - but it is an installable package on the command line.

    Code:
shellinabox - 2.20+git0+5c7fb5cde2-r0 - publish command line shell through AJAX interface Shell In A Box
    MiracleBox Prem Twin HD - 2@DVB-T2 + Xtrend et8000 - 5(incl. 2 different USBs)@DVB-T2[terrestrial - UK Freeview HD, Sandy Heath] - LAN/USB-stick/HDD

But then installing e2....openwebif-terminal should have installed it ... it's nothig but a meta-package to drag the shellinabox package ...

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a step I am missing?

    Code:
    opkg install shellinabox

I agree. Indeed, shellinabox is a dependency of enigma2-plugin-extensions-openwebif-terminal, so it should have been installed.
    On my et8000 it is:

    Code:
    [root@et8000]: opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-openwebif-terminal
    Installing enigma2-plugin-extensions-openwebif-terminal (1+git2579+3d242da-r1) on root.
    Installing shellinabox (2.20+git0+5c7fb5cde2-r0) on root.
Removing any system startup links for shellinabox ...
    Configuring shellinabox.
     Adding system startup for /etc/init.d/shellinabox.
Starting Shell In A Box server: shellinabox.
    Configuring enigma2-plugin-extensions-openwebif-terminal.
So whatever is "stuck" on the OPs system could be something completely different.

PS: Once I restart the GUI the terminal works.

It says 'Package shellinabox (2.20+git0+5c7fb5cde2-r0) installed in root is up to date.'

It was stuck at this stage when installing:

    Configuring enigma2-plugin-extensions-openwebif-terminal

Left it for 5 minutes but nothing happens. Had to hard reset.

    Left what?
As you can see from my cut&paste from the command line above, it doesn't have anything to do.
Were you waiting for something to happen?
Did you try to close the window?
Does the feature work after the restart (be it hard or otherwise)?

The box had become unresponsive whilst 'Configuring enigma2-plugin-extensions-openwebif-terminal'. Pressing buttons on remote did nothing. Seems to be working as normal after turning the box off at the back.
