    Twin cable tuner option

    Hi

Is anybody using the model with the twin cable tuner option. If so are they any good? Just ordered one and was just making sure it is one cable feed in, then the receiver hardware splits the signal. I ask this as I want to use with vm to watch one channel and record another. Any replies appreciated.

Hi. Yes, fantastic little receiver. It has a loop threw option so you can have this box connected as well as a tivo box. Upscaling is as good as I've seen also. Not tried watching a channel and recording another but pretty sure it will. Bargain price and well. Come from a vu solo 2 on Sat so have good knowledge. Regards.

so am I correct in saying that for this receiver I only need one input feed as the split is carried out internally on the tuner?

Ive thought it is a great box so far. Had mine a few months now.

Yes the split is internally, only 1 feed needed.

So the second (lower) input on the twin-C module is definitely a loop-through for the cable signal and not a second input? Please can someone categorically answer this one as it's key to my proposed config?
    Thanks,

Just one cable in and both work. It's split internally. No need to loop.
