Share VU+ Solo 2 hdd media to Sony TV?

    Hi.
I wonder if it is possible to share VU+ Solo 2 hdd media wireless in my home network to a Sony TV? And how to do it?
Or do I have to buy another enigma box and connect it to my Sony TV.

I want to see recorded movies in my bedroom TV.

You got Google Playstore on your TV? If so then you can install Kodi then use the PVR addon to view the content on your solo2. If you haven't got Playstore then the next option is to buy a Firestick and install Kodi on there. That's what I do

    Thanks for your answer.
My Sony is a KDL48W605BBAE. It is not an android ready model I think. No Google playstore. And no Kodi app in the menus.
I will get a Firestick and try.

That is your best option. Remember to install SPMC and not Kodi. SPMC is tweaked for Android.

It does but SPMC works better when streaming from Vu+. I certainly noticed less tearing and glitching when streaming HD.

After taking advice from this forum, I installed SPMC and it solved my issues

Just install enable the the mini dlna client on your solo2 and browse to it from your TV, don't go clogging your TV up with kodi or spmc just to access the hard drive, what you guys are suggesting is overkill.

What add on are you using with SPMC for streaming?
