    Wrong EPG Data Showing...

Hi, had a problem for a week or so, where the wrong EPG data is being shown on my Vu+ Solo2.

The correct channel shows when selected, but, the EPG data is totally wrong.

Say with the sports channels, it is showing the same football match on multiple channels at the same time, which is incorrect.

Using the latest version of Vix, with all current updates applied.

I've tried deleting bouquets and EPG data, restarting, reloading. Removing dat file and reloading. None seemed to help.

Anyone know of an easy fix?

Simply deleting the EPG data via the menu > setup > system > epg > load-save-delete should do the trick. Firstly delete and then restart your receiver, then when rebooted press blue button & press ok on CrossEPG Downloader. Hope this works.

Tried, and no, it doesn't work.

Checked, and EPG data is stored on Media/HDD. Deleted both from the remote, and via FTP, with restarting and re-downloading in-between.

When you look in the epg settings does the location say /media/hdd?
I have had the odd instances where the epg has been wrong but doing as I mentioned above always works for me.

Yes, /media/hdd/ as per my previous post.

Sounds like a reflash required, as it just happened out of the blue.

Having the same issue. Alot of the channels (from all sections) are showing the Sky Premier movie of the week (Currently Emperors of ancient China) on the EGP. But when you go into the channel it will then change to what is actually on.

Deleted the EGP and downloaded it again. But nothing.
The data is there, as when you select channel it then shows up.

    Running OpenVix 4.2.026
    On Edision OS mini
Have the EGP stored on USB /media/sda1. Along with the timeshift. Have recordings stored on another USB /media/hdd.

    Any help?

3 posters with this problem over the last 3 months and none have confirmed that it's fixed. You'd have to assume that it has been.

Post #9 could well be the answer.

Its not a bug - its corrupt epg data. The epg data and crossepg folder needs to be deleted and freshly downloaded. see post #9
