    Network / LAN not working

I use a TM-2T as a second box in my bedroom, rarely used. When I tried to turn it on tonight, there was no internet connection.

I flashed latest images HADES 018, and still won't pick up an internet connection, even though I am connected directly with an ethernet cable from the router. I tested same ethernet cable on laptop, and it works fine.

On the back of the reciever, the green / orange lights are flashing at the ethernet port when plugged in so it is definitely connected right.

I have been trying to search for similar issues, and came across this article linked below (seems to be similar issue), but was wondering if anybody has any similar experiences or advice?

I am not sure how I can ftp to the box, if I don't know the IP address, and I don't have an rs232 cable.

sometimes rebooting box and router will show connected if you run a network test.

Have tried resetting router and box to no avail.

I run the network test and get the following results

    LAN adapter - OK
    Local - disconnected
    DHCP - OK
    IP address - unconfirmed
    Nameserver - unconfirmed

I think it is something to do with the link I posted above, possibly about the box losing it's MAC address.

Any advice, help welcome. Box is over two years old now, so out of warranty
