HDMI in recording issue with audio

I have managed to re ord the hdmi in with various devices including games console wii U running at 1080p and apple tv. The wii U console recording comes back downsampled which is fine but has no audio. Any other device including the apple tv just shows the video but no souncd/audio is recorded.

Is this expected functionality or driver issue or am image issue? Is it possible to record the audio from any device plugged into hdmi in slot?

Is there any update on this issue?
Can someone who owns a mutant 2400 confirm if it is now possible to record from HDMI-IN, both the video and the audio?

If it is the same as the Et10000 you must setup a timer recording... No I don,t understand why, this one has defeated me!

No audio stream in records from HDMI-IN - TsDoctor.
Records was made as "Instant Record" and "Timer Record" as well.

trying to do the same - when i connect the fire stick I see it boot up for 2 secs and then it goes blank.

Works perfectly fine when connected directly to the TV - unfortunately the TV doesn't have a spare HDMI port so wanted to use the HDMI in on my miracle Ultra.

Was there ever a resolution for this? I too have missing audio when recording from HDMI-In even when using a splitter to remove the HDCP.

I haven't tested a timer recording yet, nor viewing another channel whilst it's recording since neither are convenient workarounds . . . but are they the only way around this?
