Solo2 is not connected to the internet

    Hi
Im a total newbie to this and have got a new vu+ solo2 with vix installed. I have run network wizard and all connections seem ok, I can access box over ftp etc. However when I try to access any of feeds eg plugin feed i get the error "No network connection found. Please ensure your reciever is connected to the internet." If I go to software update I get "your Vu+ Solo2 is not connected to the internet, please check your network settings and try again" I have run network wizard again and at the end it tells me it is connected to internet. But still the same problems. Can anyone assist me?

    Thanks
    Andy

we would need to know a few things first, such as what exact image you are running as well as the build number, also what exact receiver are you using as you say its a solo2 but have posted in the solo SE section, these are totally different receivers and the difference could make the difference in finding the problem.

Look in menu> information> about to see the exact build number, but if you have Apollo build 029 on the box it is a very old image and no longer has access to the plugin server, which would explain your issues.

You would need to reflash the receiver to any Apollo image over build 155 to be able to access the feeds again, although you may want to hang fire for a week or so as were are almost ready to release the successor to the Apollo series images.

I have downloaded the openvix-Hades.005-vuduo_usb.zip build, copied the files to a USB stick and rebooted the Vu+ with the stick in it.
Whatever I try it won't do the update. I've tried 3 different sticks; tried all usb ports, tried all the files in the root of the stick, in the duo folder and in the vuplus folder but nothing works.

Btw it now appears the not only can I not download plugins; the software update uption on the menu gives the same error "no internet connection".

Try using a well formatted USB stick with no other USB devices plugged in.
Not sure if your current image supports couch flashing, if it does, use that.

make sure you unzip the file on the USB stick as the box will not update with just the ZIP file on the stick.
