    Twin Bouqets backup

Anyone know how to backup Twinbox bouqets? I've tried Dreamboxedit and it worked but now that I want to update the box software it won't connect even though I have the correct ip adress. I've also set the settings to enigma2. I can ping the box ok, it just won't connect. User id and password has been left to default.

    Open to ideas and suggestions...

    What is "default"

Performing an update does not wipe the bouquets. Re-imaging does. You can also craete a settings backup to restore after flashing an image.

By default I mean the default settings on the options. If I understand you correctly, by flashing the box I can't upload the bouquets after the flash if I perform the backup...

Backing up the bouquets by a channel editor means you can flash on any image afterwards (so long as image type is the same with regards to being E1 or E2). This is irrespective of whether you flash an image or not.

To flash a new image, use the USB flash method.

I tried ftping the box and it wont connect. Tried pinging from two different machines was OK. What login do you use for your ftp?

I couldn'd find the ftp details in the stock image for the miracle box. For Vix, it is user= "root" password= blank,n/a,nothing,empty,not used. (Sorry had to list all those as some [peopel actually put in "blank")

As the factory image is based on openvix, are you sure there is no settings backup feature? HAve yopu tried the bouquet editor in webif through your PC? It has a facility to save bouquets. Not sure if it will be present on older images.

Defaut login after a clean install is user: root and no password. Check your network settings that ftp is enabled. You might have to telnet the box and set a password before you can use ftp(I think I had to...). Telnet and use passwd command.

Resolved the issue but not with this software. I installed idreamx on my mac and I got everything to work just fine, backed up my channel list, settings etc

So, your issue was with dreamboxedit, and you solved it with idreamx?

We did not ask if he was using a Mac or PC.
