    Question LCD display brightness adjustable?

Is there a way to dim the LCD display - particularly while in standby mode?

Using the latest Vix Apollo Version (043), currently the usual setting of:

Menu -> Setup -> System -> Front Panel Display -> Settings -> Brightness (Standby)

... only changes the brightness of the LED vertical strip, not of the LCD. Can this be changed?

Best to complain directly to the manufacturer in cases of drivers and the like, that way it is more likely to get fixed in a timely fashion.

New drivers released for the Gigablue range. You can confirm the date by looking at Information in the menu.

Tony does the quad plus have new drivers in this build too? If so has it fixed the poor playback issue?

The Quad Plus has new drivers also - certainly fixing the LCD brightness problem. I've not implemented the cacheflush plugin to check if the driver changes and some kernel fixes have sorted out the playback problems. So far, no problems, but will need some more time to confirm. A cautious "thumbs-up" so far.

I had moved to 041 and installed the cacheflush plugin to counter memory issues and had no problems since, even though the drivers hadn't been updated. So, even if the problem is not resolved, you could have a look at the thread here - http://www.world-of-satellite.com/sh...l=1#post315650
