Just a word of warning - the new drivers and kernel contained in the OE 2.3 base are causing a lot of issues for Quad and Quad+ owners on playback of recorded programmes due to memory fragmentation - see various threads here and on OpenATV forums. I'm staying on older image (ViX 023) until Gigablue release new drivers.

@rossi2000 - did you not see my post? The new drivers/kernel are causing issues with recorded playback. Only in the past day or so are new drivers being tested on OpenMIPS releases. Haven't trickled down to ViX yet.

There are a significant number of postings about recording playback issues on Quad and Quad+, plus reboots on the Quad in various threads. The OE 2.3 release (ViX 025 onwards) seems to have introduced driver/kernel problems only now being addressed by Gigablue.

Nope, on the Quad issue is apparent on any image that contains drivers newer than I think 23rd May.

Best skin out there bar VIX night. Way better than shite from hand puppets.

Wish VU would sort out their drivers.

    lol.
    shame its only gigablue atm
although the odinm9 and xtrend 8000/10000 have support.

but tbh id like to move away from gigabug and maybe to an xtrend as they have support, but the new machines are abit pricey.

Don't get me wrong - I loved your skin when I checked it out while it was still in the experimental stage. Just at the moment SWMBO needs a stable image, so I'm waiting until ViX 030 comes out with the updated drivers, and once you've built from there I'll be happy to test again

Has to have driver support added first to be able to properly display the skin and thats whats holding things up, otherwise rossi and simon would have released the full youvix skin some 6 months ago when it was commissioned from them by andyblac.

commisioned? you make it sound like a business deal hahah

the initial youvix skin was 720, it was only till i tested the skin at 1080 we started to develop it that way, then we found out not all machines had the framebuffer enabled. that was youvix 1.

many months went by with no dev becuase of this driver support and as simon has left the scene.

a few months ago i started the project again and re-vamped the whole thing to this one now. youvix2 u could say.

this is mainly my own personal image with skin.

what i am doing here is something that youd see on xda. ive cooked my own rom from someones source with tweaks for my own device.

here are some screens from youvix1 so you can see the difference:-

    menu.jpg channelselect.jpg imdb.jpg epg.jpg

i still have all the old versions 720 and 1080.
