    Dead tm twin

    Hi guys got home from worked fired up the box and nothing!!!!! All I get is starting scrolling on the front and nothing else. The internal fans not spinning and I've no display,tried reflashing but doesn't recognise usb stick. Any ideas?

    Do a full format on the stick especially if you had it formatted as ext3/4 and than retry.

    Had the same thing happen to me.
    Tried all the suggestions. Did not work.
    Send it back to Technomate they replaced mine.

    Tried that stanman tried different sticks as well. Just continues to scroll starting on the front display,I reckon tm are the next port of call,I doubt they'll replace it as its 18 months old but a repair is hopefully cheaper than a new box

    Ring TM. They may need to JTAG it.

    They are normally very good at after sales support.

    I found TM to be terrible after service especially the guy in charge Richard who is the most arrogant and obnoxious person I have ever spoken to.

    I see,it may be a bit more than that,as it was very hot the internal fan wasn't working and when I took the casing off one of the capacitors/chips on the power supply looks scorched around it

    well that seems to be the cause of your problem it seems like the power supply has gone, and not knowing the receiver can not give you any reliable info sorry

    Still powers up front display but that's it,we had one hell of a storm yesterday and I think we had a power cut. The surge may of damaged it ,it also fried my router. So all in all not a good day

    It does indeed luckily it didn't fry the tv,sound system, ps3 or ps4

    Sent back to Tm,Main board fried, power supply suspect,£120 for repairs!!! Cheaper than a new box though
