    No sound output

    Hi all

Has anyone had this problem with their Gigablue 800 UE. Mine has stopped outputting any sound via the HDMI cable. I have reflashed the box and tried it connected to another TV, swapped HDMI cables! Everything I can think of but still no sound output. Any ideas or has the sound module packed up?

Have you checked your Dolby digital/ dts downmix settings. Sometimes that can lose audio.

Yep I've seen this before too, to get standard stereo sound via HDMI ensure that the 'Digital Downmix' setting is set to 'on'.

If you're connecting your sat unit to a DTS compatible receiver which can decode Dolby 5.1 set the downmix setting to 'off'.

    Hope this helps!
