    OpenSkin Designer

    Here the

    OpenSkin Designer (Weiterentwicklung vom e2-Skinner)

You can change the skins with the new Programm of iMaxx. Download here:
    https://github.com/iMaxxx/OpenSkin-Designer

    •Colored tree view
    •screen search
    •fold/unfold xml code
•quick add buttons (add screen, panel, widget, label, pixmap; delete item)
    •simple autocomplete in code
•toggle conditional hiding element (show all, none, random, default)
•toggle markers (border indicators of elements)
    •bugfixes

OpenSkin Designer is a further development of e2skinner.
It includes a couple of new features i.e.:

    •Panels
    •Colored tree view
    •screen search
    •fold/unfold xml code
•quick add buttons (add screen, panel, widget, label, pixmap; delete item)
    •simple autocomplete in code
•toggle conditional hiding element (show all, none, random, default)
•toggle markers (border indicators of elements)
    •bugfixes
    •etc.

    To-Do:

    •some performance improvements
    •parse includes

Well, seems a good job; at last some development after 3 years.
Hopefully the rest of the plan. especially including 'includes', will follow soon, so we can use it for ViX.

Just a simple text editor does the job nicely. We all do it that way.

So how do you position the components on the skin, is it hit and miss. In PLi skins you can move then within e2skinner to the correct places when designing a new skin. There must be a program the VIx team use to do this when designing a new skin.

at first it can be hit and miss on positioning but the more you do it the more you can judge positioning.
