    2 days cant install linux on new machine HELP

    been trying to install Linux on a new machine i was given

    it had win7 on it, has 8gb of ram and a sata drive

    i have tried 4 hard drives, two dvd players and keep getting a error

    unable to find a media containing a live file system

    downloaded 3 copy's of linux as well as even tried a Debian which it stops at cd room install

    googled, says to do with sata drivers, but i have tried 2 diff sata drives and also ide drives

    try installing it with a usb pen using pendrive linux or unetbootin.
    Vu Ultimo4K, OpenViX 5.0, 8xdvb-c, 8xdvb-s2, 2xdvb-t2

    sorted it, was infact a dodgy dvd drive, weird as it installed win7 ok
