    Gigablue HD800SE+ stuck on BOOT

Hi all, Complete newbi so apologies in advance.

Just bought a new Gigablue HD800SE+ from WOS which came with the OpenMibs image on. I've tried to install the Vix Image by downloading the image, copied gigablue folder on to Fat32 usb stick and placed in Gigablue. When I switched the gigablue on it saw the usb stick but didn't display the usual conf or e000 that people mention (where you then press the OK button) it just booted into openmibs. Anyhow after a coupe attempts it is now stuck on BOOT when I power it up. It doesn't seem to look at the usb stick... and my TV is blank.

I've tried different images on various usb sticks all formatted to fat32 using the HP tool still no joy.

    Hope someone can help...please

What ViX image? We have NOT yet released a ViX image for the plus models. Sounds like you've managed to bring the receiver using the wrong image.

Ah Ok I must have tried to flash with the Vix HD800SE image and I have the PLUS model.

I have since tried the bootloader and the Openmips Image for the HD800SEPLUS however the receiver just doesnt acknowledge the USB stick. Before the USB stick used to light up when I first switched the receiver on, now I dont get any lights on the USB stick when inserted into either the front or rear ports and the receiver just says BOOT on the display. Is there any other way to get into the receiver?

    Thanks for your quick replies...

Is there any way to access the Gigablue HD800SE+ as the USB doesn't seem to be working or is the unit faulty? Just got BOOT on the display and the red light. No matter what I do I can't get beyond this point...

The unit is not faulty but if you loaded the wrong image you have likely corrupted the bootsector basically what is more commonly known as bricking it. In such cases the unit needs to be J-tagged back to life but i'm not sure if a J-tag exists for this model yet.

you may need to speak to the sponsor to see what he says.

you said you purchased the receiver from WoS, he's the forum sponsor so you will have to contact him and see what he says, be truthful about what has happened ie you flashed the wrong image.
