    Is It A Brick ?.

    Hi folk's.
Well decided to purchase a TM-800 after using a openbox for a while, got it on tuesday.
Turned it on and all i got was " STARTING " on the display, so left it to do what it had to do, just turned itself off after about 10 minutes ( blue circular light around L/H button on front panel stayed on ), turned it off then on using rear switch, this time it appeared to start up ( a blue band with " BBC ONE " appeared on the Tv screen ) but then just froze ( not responding to remote or buttons on front panel ).
So turned it off and back on using rear switch, now will get as far as starting and then shuts down after about 10 minutes.
Things tried so far, remove all cables ( just mains cable attached ), still " STARTING ", when it gets to " STARTING " tapped "standby button" until "miniroot" appears ( "miniroot" just disappears and " STARTING " is continued ).
Tried the above but with a number of different images loaded onto a usb inserted into both back and front usb slots ( not both at the same time ).
Yes i've followed the loading an image by usb guides to the letter, no matter what i try i cannot get it to get through the "miniroot" phase ( into ip address, etc, etc, etc ).

So my guess is that i have a brick / doorstop rather than a satellite receiver, phoning the company that supplied it on Mon to confirm that it is faulty and get a refund / replacement, basically just wondered if anyone else had come across this fault before and fixed it or is it un fixable ?.
    Cheer's.

    Welcome to the forum.

Why on earth did you buy a TM800? Did you not do your research? Get a refund and buy a broadcom based receiver.

Check the cable to the card reader. Make sure it is inserted properly and not damaged.
