    Venton HD2....Does it have a recording indicator ?

    Hi all,

    Got this from sponsor. Great wee box. Recommended.
    Question as in title. There is no indication a recording has started. Am I missing something ?

    "Show display icons" in display options is set for Yes !
    Any way to disable the satellite symbol on the display ? I can stop it using "No" in the above option but it re-appears on restart !

    HD2 does not have vfd icons such as rec. you can still see the rec icon on infobar.

    I can indeed see the recording on the infobar. My problem is when using my Vu duo ( which shows rec indication) and using the Venton for timer recordings.......I get the plaintive cry from my wife..."That box is not recording", because no indicators show in display.

    Oh well, she will just have to trust the box to perform !
