    Gigablue 800 HD Solo Bootloader

I have just been reading the post about a dead Gigablue 800 SE. I will soon be updating the firmware to one where the image is stored in an individual folder called Gigablue. All previous ones have just had all the info in the root directory.

I am currently running Powerboard VX on it which i installed about 2 months ago. Not wanting to brick the receiver as there isn't too many of the Solo boxes about from what i can see, i am a little concerned about what bootloader is on the box and how to find out which one is installed.

I've had the box for a while now, infact when i had it the only image available for it was the Team Red one so the bootloader has been updated a few times when i installed the OpenAAF image on to it a few months later.

Whats the easiest way to find out what bootloader is on the box. I have looked in the webif and have found the following.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I believe the only way to obtain that info would be to do a bootlog with a RS232 null modem cable and Putty session via a PC while the receiver is booting up ( hence the name ), as far as i know there is no other way to get this info while the box is running.

Looks like i'll just run the update then. Can't see it doing any damage if its the same on thats already on the box. I don't see it available here, any pointers as to where i can find it easily.

I don't think it will be too difficult to find, but finding one from a trusted source is always a concern for me.

Think you need the 20120903 bootloader.

Should then flash using folder structure /gigablue/solo
