Hi, I've just got my Mini unpacked and working, and it's looking good, but to get it going, because I'm not in Europe, I've manually added three other satellites and their transponders.

This has worked, but it was quite labour intensive and tedious doing it on my remote control buttons, and I've still got lots more satellites (around another ten) to add, each with their own transponders.

Is there an easier way of entering this kind of data via a QWERTY keyboard?

I've saved my databasesys_date_time.bin file on a USB dirve and tried to have a look at it to see if it's edittable, but although it contains some recognisable text, there are lots of non-ASCII characters there. Please can anyone tell me if there's software I can use to read and edit and update a databasesys file?

Or is there another way of updating my database with QWERTY data, for example via the Mini's RS232 interface?

I'm currently on a netbook with both Linux Ubuntu and Windows XP.

Any suggestions?
