When i set the web interface option to "Enable HTTP Authentication" to yes, so that a a user name and password are asked for when i try to access the web control, i cannot access the web control

I have tried leaving both blank and also entering my FTP details, but i still cant access it when this is enabled.

Is there a way to telnet to the receiver and change the HTTP username and password, without changing any other details, ie the ftp password?

Its not working with those details mate.... is there a way of resetting the password/username?

I remember doing something via telnet before, but think that was only for the ftp details, i could be wrong though?

Have you tired telneting in with blank password. Once in....

run...

'passwd'

you will be asked to set a password....This will set a new password for the root account.
